• Are these shampoos 100% natural?

  There are no effective, naturally occurring ingredients that work as cleansing agents in shampoos. There are some ingredients included here that are not natural, but are as close as we can get to natural without being considered synthetic.

  These ingredients are artificial (mimics something found in nature/derived from natural sources), but not synthetic (chemically created in a lab). There are a small percentage of ingredients that are synthetic, but necessary in our formula for stability and preservation of the product. The total percentage of synthetic ingredients is less than 10%.

• What if my dog swallows some?

  Don’t fret! If your dog eats some of the product, they may have an upset stomach until it passes, but it won’t cause any permanent harm. Each case is different though, so if symptoms persist, contact your vet.

• Does this product use artificial fragrances?

  Nope! All of the fragrance from this product uses only natural essential oils. We also don’t have any sulfates, parabens, phthalates, or alcohol in this blend, so it’s hypoallergenic!

• Is this fragrance free?

  We don’t add any artificial fragrance, so the scent comes from the ingredients themselves. We use Lavender Essential Oil and Lavender Flower Water to provide scent for this product, both of which are natural.

• What is the shelf life on this product?

  This product is good for two years after opening. After that point it may lose some of its smell, but won’t cause any harm to your dog if used.

• How often should I bathe my dog?

  This depends on your dog and your dog’s regular routine. If your dog has a very active lifestyle, they should receive a bath every 4 weeks. For less active dogs, every six weeks should be fine. However, if you notice your dog is especially stinky or has recently gotten into mud, dirt, or stagnant water, a good bathing will definitely do them some good and help keep their skin and fur clean.

• Is this product safe for cats?

  This product was formulated specifically for dogs and is not recommended for cats. Cats have more sensitive skin and fur, and may not like having something new added to their coat.

• Does this product help with shedding?

  The Calming Lavender Shampoo can help remove loose fur from your dog’s coat if you brush it through, but won’t make your dog stop shedding. Try our Skin and Coat Supplements for additional coat support!

• Are there any potential side effects for this shampoo?

  While we strive to create a natural, soothing formula, we can’t control for allergies or sensitivities your dog may have. Try using a small amount on your dog first to make sure they don’t have any skin irritation from this product before using it all over their body.
