  • Application

    Distract, apply, & reward!

Distractions are key! Using treats (peanut butter works great!), applying right before mealtime, or following with a belly rub are positive, effective ways to allow time for the product to work it's magic!

Before applying any balm, clean up any excess dirt or debris evident around the affected area.

    Wrinkle Balm Application
Tin: Use two fingers or a low-absorbent cloth to apply a generous amount of Wrinkle Balm into skin fold creases.
Stick: Twist a small amount of Wrinkle Balm up from the stick and gently rub a generous amount into skin fold creases.

Repeat one to three times daily. Consistent & frequent application is crucial to maintain healthy skin fold condition and prevent infection, buildup, and foul odors. Wrinkle Balm is even gentle enough to use around sensitive areas such as the face and tail pocket.

    Snout Soother Application
Tin: Use two fingers or a low-absorbent cloth to gently apply a generous amount of Snout Soother to your dog’s nose.
Stick: twist a small amount of Snout Soother up from the stick, and gently rub a generous amount of the balm to your dog’s nose.

The more often you are able to apply Snout Soother to your dog’s nose, the better. To start, we recommend applying the balm at least two to three times daily. Using the balm before bed is ideal due to the peak of healing and regeneration that occurs in dogs while they sleep.

Reduce frequency as your dog’s nose improves using less often to maintain a beautiful, healthy snout.

  • FAQs

What uses is Snout Soother recommended for?

    • Dry, Chapped Nose
    • Crusty & Cracked Nose
    • Hyperkeratosis
    • Nose Rolls & Folds
    • Windburn Prevention

    • Extreme Weather Conditions
    • Rashes and Skin irritations
    • Discoid Lupus
    • Brachycephalic Breeds

How often should I apply Natural Dog Snout Soother?

The more often you are able to apply Snout Soother to your dog's nose, the better. We recommend applying at least 2-3 times per day - especially before bedtime when bodies are healing and regenerating. Once your dog's nose is healthy, you can reduce the frequency of applications to maintain a healthy and hydrated nose.

What do I do if my dog resists applying the nose balm to his nose?

Many dogs do not want their noses messed with because those tissues are highly sensitive - touching IS painful even if they don't show it (Dogs are stoic by nature). Dogs also have many nerve endings in their noses. Imagine chapped lips - ouch! There are several ways of accomplishing this (depending on your dog). What we hear the most from our customers is to make sure your dog associates the application of Snout Soother as a "reward" - not as a negative or confining situation. Holding down or confining may not be the best option, either, as most dogs will resist or fear constraint. If you coax your dog with a FIRM, but gentle, approach (and sometimes treats), you should get a better response. You might try holding a food reward in your hand and let your dog get a sniff of it. As he is licking or nibbling the treat, try to carefully swipe a bit of Snout Soother on your dog's nose. If your dog begins to associate yummy treats with getting something put on his nose, you should have a better response. You could also try tug toys or belly rubs - anything to distract your dog. Tug works well for many dogs and they will let you do just about anything to their noses with a tug toy firmly locked in their jaws. At that point, keeping the tug toy is way more important than worrying about anyone touching their nose. Don't give up! They will finally end up with a healthy nose and be able to live pain free.

WHAT IF MY DOG LICKS IT OFF?

Natural Dog Snout Soother is 100% natural, safe and edible. Primary ingredients include nut oils and butters, which can be appealing to dogs, so they may attempt to lick it off. This is perfectly normal! Snout Soother will still work even if most of it is licked off. Though, for best results, we advise using distractions such as treats or mealtime to allow more time for the product to work it's magic!

Does Snout Soother provide any sunscreen?

Several ingredients in Snout Soother contain natural sunscreen, including Kukui Nut Oil, Shea Butter and Natural Vitamin E. This is ideal for dogs with light colored snouts. Several customers with dogs diagnosed with discoid lupus have reported positive results as well. Snout Soother has an estimated SPF 9.

Can Snout Soother be used on cats or horses or other animals?

Absolutely! Snout Soother can be used on all animals - even humans!

The crust is falling off my dogs nose. Is that normal?

Absolutely! Hyperkeratosis in dogs can cause a layer of painful dried skin on your dogs nose. Snout Soother and Snout Shine both work to penetrate beneath those layers and heal your dogs dry nose. As a part of the healing process, bits and pieces will begin to fall off your dogs nose! Eventually you should see a bright and shiny black nose coming though. But don't stop applying as this period is critical to achieving a perfectly healthy nose.

My dogs nose is pink underneath. Will the pigment return?

Every dog is different. Sometimes pigment returns in full, sometimes it doesn’t. Many customers have reported that Snout Soother brought back the pigment in their dogs nose. The good news is the dry painful nose will be a thing of the past.

Amazing!

My dog had a white, crusty area around one side of her nose. We think it was caused by her bad allergies. After three applications of Snout Soother, it’s almost completely back to normal. Amazing product! Highly recommend!

Like magic

I was skeptical especially since it was much more expensive than the other nose creams found in stores. But after spending basically the same amount of money trying various other creams that did absolutely nothing my senior dogs nose is finally looking like a nose again. We are about 5 days in of applying 3 times a day and his nose is already 80% better. Completely recommend this product.

Great product for older dog

We got snout butter for our senior dog whose nose was drying out and crusting off. It works! Her nose has healed and stays nice and soft. We apply 2-3x/day, just like any other moisturizer.

Incredible

Our frenchie has suffered from several keratoids on her nose for a very long time. My husband and I consulted with our vet about it twice - who has an English bulldog with the same problem - to no avail. We put coconut oil on her nose several times a day for over a month, and that did nothing. I was sick over it because I knew it had to be uncomfortable for her. It was horrible. I purchased Snout Soother (and Skin Soother), after happening upon their ad on Facebook. Although it was pricey, I read the glowing reviewed and thought I'd give it a try. People, honest to ***, after four days of one application a day, I swear our Frenchie's nose is almost completely healed. Two more days and it will be back to normal. It has been YEARS since we have seen a healthy nose on her. I am just in awe of this product.

In addition, she has severe hot spots on her two forelegs. The vet prescribed a daily dose of Apoquel, which seemed to do nothing for her allergies. After several months, I discontinued it because her liver enzymes were elevated. Don't know if it was from the Apoquel, but it didn't seem to be doing anything for her anyway, and decided to take her off of it. Again, after four days of applying Skin Soother to the hot spots on her legs, these areas are almost completely healed. I just cannot believe it. I have never had a product - for humans or dogs - be so effective. I consider it a blessing that I found these two products. If you are worried and on the fence, just purchase…
